Well this is my first proper blog and is a test in preparation for my trip to Oz in October.

Just got back from Ireland with the guys and the difference in lifestyles and pace of life is amazing. It was a bit hard work to start with: early flight etc and long drive - but getting there was worth it. I can’t help but be amazed at how peaceful Cavan is. Had a fantastic time with everyone... followed by a great meal (ENGLAND BRING BACK T-BONE STEAKS) and guys... Garlic butter...! genius. (Apparantly, I mentioned it was ace a few times).

Saw some fantastic sights - great lakes and castles, huge sky's and rolling hills and.... cows, who hauntingly watch your every move... chewing the grass in a slow and considered manor. They really do want their milk back.

Having been made to feel extremely welcome in Cavan by Mo and Stan we headed off to see the sights of Dublin. Again a fantastic place - I was a little nervous about going to Dublin as I'd been before and not enjoyed it that much. But second time was fantastic. The Buzz from the combination of friendly locals and happy tourists is exhilarating. Music, food, and beer - everything was great! So final thought: Fantastic weekend with fantastic people and friends and one I will remember for a long time.
